Bare with me, my first post. I have a 740 turbo that has lost power and stalls out sometimes when I come to a stop. I cleaned the throttle body, now it will remain idling (low I think, at 800rpm), but as soon as I step on gas it hesitates, and has only a little power. I can get the car up to 65-70 mph and seems to run better (not as noisy) but it still doesn't have the power overall.
I am guessing it is something to do with the fuel line, or vacuum hoses. I haven't found any vacuum leaks, as of yet, I have one hose that looks a little brittle, near the intake manifold (on top, and to the right of the engine...I am learning as I go along) not sure what that hose does though, or if it relates.
I have not replaced the fuel filter yet, that is next.
The only thing that I can think of that has changed in the week prior, is that I rode it on Empty, filling it up a little at a time. Wondering if maybe some crap at the bottom of the tank might be rooting around in the filter/pump/etc.
Other symptoms: it is noisier, almost like the muffler is kaput (not that loud though). I thought I noticed the whine of the turbo get louder before all of this happened.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
