Is it worth it to use prememium fuel in my 240 turbo 200

I have a 1983 244 turbo intercooled m46 and I have been running premeium in it. It's kind of expensive, and I was wondering if I really should be with that car. I run regualar in my non turbo and it just fine. Should I give it a try, or is the higer octane gas worth the money? Thanks and happy bricking
