Hi,

I'm getting a fairly loud squeak (sounds like rubber) when going over a speed bump for example. It appears to be coming from the right hand side down low. I visually checked the control arm bushes and all appear ok, I'll test with a pry bar tomorrow. Radius rod bushes were replace on both sides about 40,000kms ago along with the ball joints. Is it likely that the radius rod bushings are starting to wear?

I have no idea how old the struts and mounts are, could these be the cause?

I am also getting a light clunk (in the front right) when turning slowly close to full lock and going over a small bump such as into my driveway. This clunk can also occur if suddenly I step on the brake while reversing too.

Another annoying thing I'm trying to solve is a very light metallic knocking sound coming from fairly high in the rear end somewhere just below the pillar at the rear deck. I'm thinking that this could be the shock absorber and/or its mounting bush. This sometimes occurs under load, when traveling over lightly undulating surfaces, speed bumps, ...not necessarily 'rough' surfaces.

I am also considering switching to Mobil 1 synthetic - 5w50 or 0w40 some point in the near future. The dealer has currently been using a Valvoline synthetic blend / 15w50. There are currently no oil leaks and the engine is showing no signs of wear. Would anyone advise against this? Oil has been changed at 5000kms for the past 40,000kms.
