For those of you who recall my posts on my stalling, hot start, idle quality problems, I thought I'd give an update.
Having replaced most everything else I was down to the air mass meter. However, the symptoms where not a smoking gun for a dead AMM. Rather than continue with my google-nostics and buy an AMM, I took the car to the shop up the road here (non-dealer Volvo only shop).
They hooked it up to their diagnostic equipment and guess what ... bad AMM. They replaced it and also adjusted the TPS.
The stalling problem is now gone for the most part, idle is better, and my long time hard hot start problem is now better as well.
I need to see how it goes, but I may not yet be totally out of the woods. I can still get the car to stall or almost stall if I am crawling up a steep hill and lift my foot off the gas very quickly. The idle dips low in this case. Maybe there is something still going on with the TPS...I dunno.
