I'm making a trailing arm bushing tool. The 2" NPT end caps I found are made in the USA of galvanized steel and have much thicker walls than the Chinese end caps I've seen. Anyway, my question is about grinding on galvanized steel. I've heard cautions about welding on galvanized. I also seem to remember hearing some caution about grinding on it. Is this true? Or can I grind away on it with no worries? The other option is to use the Chinese cast iron end caps.
