Stop-Leak Oil Additive 200

Here I go again. Looks like I need to replace the rear engine seal but cannot do this right now. I am not a big fan of additives of any kind but what is this board's opinion on oil additives like Stop-Leak that is supposed to improve seals/minor oil leaks? I'd be willing to try but can they do any harm? Don't want to ruin something else in an attempt to slow down what should be fixed now.
