240 radio wiring 200 1992

hi all,

the radio/tape deck in our 1992 240 wasn't working, so we just got a sony cd deck. my husband is out there right now ripping his hair out trying to match the wires. he cut off the proprietary plug and here's what we've got:

red
black
green
brown
white/blue
yellow/black

plus some fat black plug with an R on it.

any help would be greatly appreciated!
