83 240 DL no start, quick fix for just one more start to get it home 200 1983

After the first two times it was reluctant to start I took it into the shop and it didn't have any of the starting or surging problems I was experiencing for them so they couldn't figure out what the problem is.

I've driven it all weekend. Then yesterday it started the frist time and then died and wouldn't start again. When I drove it yesteday morning it was surging a bit and I really had to give it gas to get it to go.

All I want is to be able to get it to start one last time so i can get it home and git rid of it. Do you know of any quick (and simple) things I can try to get it to start one last time?

Also if you're in the DC/MD/VA area and looking for another project let me know.
