Alternator squeels after installation of audio amp 200

My alternator started to squeel after intsalling my Sony 1200 watt amp. When the base hit the mirrors shook and the alternator squeels. I turned it down (too loud anyway) and it stopped, but Im wondering if the belt needs tightening or is the alternator not powerful enough. This amp draws only about 40 amps. Fused at 45 amps. My lights and all other electrical equipment were turned off.

Any ideas?
