Lower Ball Joints - 1989 740 700 1989

Hows it goin Volvo nuts, I just took my 89 740 in for an allingment and was told both the lower ball joints need to be replaced. The quoted price seamed a little extream ... $280 ($75 for each joint). If anyone has had to replace these themselves i would be interested in what is a reasonable price. Thanks
