Howdy all you 200 owners--
I have an '87 245 with 180K miles on it that's been part of the family since new. I plan to keep as long as possible. Apart from replacing the usual wear items (brakes, shocks, suspension bushings, motor mounts, water pumps, belts, & seals), there have been few problems with the engine and related items like the starter, fuel pumps, injectors, wiring, steering, etc. While reading the Brickboard has been a real education, the car has not presented me with difficult problems, nor has it ever left me stranded.
I'm considering a visit to the big pick 'n' pulls 40 minutes away from here to scavenge some high-value components. Besides an AMM, what would you recommend picking in order to build a little collection of parts that might fail in the next 10 years?
