Two years ago I was out of town for a couple of weeks and my wife took our 91 940 for a no start problem, for which they replaced RPM sensor and a couple of other components. I called them do front brakes also, and had to redo those because of squealing and shim hanging out of caliper.
If that wasn't enough I just found that they stripped the bell housing threads when they put in the RPM sensor. The car died on the wife tonight while in transit (why is it always when the wife is driving it dies?) and found no tach pulses. Found RPM sensor would swivel around bolt and that the threads grab a little but cannot tighten. Any idea's on how I can fix this, without dropping transmission?
Thanks for you input.
