key won't turn , steering wheel locked = I'm stuck! - 240 200

Greetings,

Tried to start my '85 240 wagon this afternoon and the key won't turn. I turned the steering wheel back and forth several times trying to disengage the locked steering wheel, to no avail.

Is there something I can do semi quickly to get home, and when I get home what can I do about this?
