Windshield Glass Scratch - Any Way To Remove ?? 200

Hello. The 1987 Volvo 240DL that I got last week has very light scratch on front windshield driver area. Wiper blade scrape. It is very light thin scratch. Replacing windshield would be about $250.00 which I do not have. Is there any polish I can use to buff this scratch out ? Or anything else that I could try ? As always many thanks for your advice & ideas.

P.S.- Next week I attempt dreaded blower fan replacement. Will let you all know how it goes.
