I finished installing my replacement steering rack to replace the one that had been leaking yesterday afternoon. I was careful to make sure that the wheels where straight when I did it, but apparently I wasn't careful enough.
I'm planning to get my front end aligned, but my problem is that my steering wheel now isn't turned straight when I go down the road. My wheel is maybe 20 degrees turned clockwise when my car is moving straight down the road.
My question is: Can this be taken care of when I get my front end alignment done. Is the adjustment of the tie end rods all I need to true the position of the steering wheel? I really don't want to fuss with pulling the rack off the steering U-joint again and putting it back. I also don't want to have any clearance problems when I need to turn the wheel all the way to the right or left.
Your help and guidance is appreciated.
