Replacing Fuel Pump Relay 700 1986

I'm pretty certain my FPR is at the end of it's rope. Car's been intermittently hard to start. Might be the Hall sensor, but I doubt it. Hard starting is one of the symptoms I've noted in my 940 and 240 right before the relay bit the dust. Last evening I pulled the ashtray out and exposed the fuse panel. I broke out the Haynes Manual which shows a picture of some guy releasing a couple of clips to enable you ro slide the fuse and relay panel into the car. Well, I'll be damned if I could release those clips or slide that panel anywhere. Thus, I was unable to reach the fuel pump relay which resides at the back end of the relay panel.

Yes, I know this sounds like a stupid question, but....

How do you get the fuse and relay panel out of it's hiding place under the radio?
