fuel level sensor needs repair 900 1994

my 94 940 sedans fuel guage doesnt work. i read a fix in a previous psot but i cant recall where. if anyone out there can email me directions on fixing the float in the tank i would really appreciate it. im pretty good mechanically. i just need pretty specific directions and know what additional parts and special tools i might need.
