lean ? 900 1990

Hi All, i have just purchased my first brick, 1990 960 3.0ltr 24v. i have replaced the AMM, and the lambda with new parts. the problem is when stone cold the car runs great,instant power as soon as you hit the gas, but as soon as the temp gauge starts to move it loses some power and becomes slightly lethargic as if the choke has come of to early leading me to belive its running lean ?. any ideas would be welcome , Cheers, Rod.
