i was tinkering last night on the brick trying to familiarize myself with every part and wire so that i could more accurately describe stuff to you guys on this page, and i remembered that chris mooney had said that a good test (and free) is to check the voltage at the pump... i couldn't for days figure out what you all meant by "jumper the four and seven" etc, but i finally realized that you just meant to bridge the fuses in the fuse panel (why it took so long to understand? i dunno!) anyway, i did that and then checked the volts at the number 7 fuse. around 12v. then i checked the wires at the pump, and only 2.2 volts! could that be my problem? the car ignition was on and i just used a test light with a clip to be the jumper, so if i did everything right, then i might just have a lack of volts to the pump! i will put everything back together and run and temp wire from the fuse panel to the pump and see if that does any good.
if the lack of voltage is the prob, then i either have bad wiring somewhere, or maybe a bad relay?
thanks,
shawn
