Hey everyone,
Just installed an oil temperature guage into my 83 244T(soon to be i). The only thing I have to do yet is get power to the lightbulb so I can see the gauge at night. The kit originally had a quick-connect that pinched another wire, but that didn't work.
I have wired stuff before, so I can crimp connectors and that, but am not an expert.
The lighting for the 3 gauge cluster looks like its in series, so I put a butt splice in there, with the power wire coming out and splitting, 1 to the oil temp gauge light, and the rest to the other 3 gauges???
Could I try reachign the fusebox?
Or what about splicing power from the light for the clock??
I'm not exactly how it will work with adding another light when its wired for one or three or whatever?? Will it affect how they glow, dimmer??
Thanks,
Smith
