I guess it is time for a little presentation.
I've been lurking around in this forum for a while, so I finaly decided to join.
I go by the name Inge Svensson, and I'm a 25 year old swede who just recently got involved in cars, and especially Volvos.
I live nearby the city Linkoping.
I've taken over my grandfather's Volvo PV 544G Special, a very late and rare model (last year of production).
It is not in good shape. But it's not a wreck either, and there are no parts missing, except for the rear hatch lock.
The car is basicly stock, without any modifications. (B18A engine, M40 tranny)
The exhaust system has been replaced a couple of times, and it was repaired about 20 years ago. Beer can style. That says it all, right?
The car has been stored in a not-so-air-tight shelter for more than 20 years.
Rats and rust. What more can you expect?
My goal is to get the car running before summer.
