240 Bumper Side Moldings (-85, 86+) Are they Interchangable? Any alternatives? 200 1985

Does anybody know if the bumper side moldings(trims) are interchangable between the -85 and 86+ models? These trims are a real pain since they fall off very easily and are hard to find in good shape.

Are there any alternatives I could use and get rid of these "ugly" pieces?
