Battery disconnection S90-V90

Other than the code for the radio/stereo will I cause any other problems by disconnecting the battery while I carry out some work i.e. will I have to get anything recoded or recalibrated once I've disconnected the battery for a few hours. Also can I remove either of the stalks (indicator or windscreen wiper) without removing the steering wheel or disconnecting the battery?
