Have to use FI fuel hose? 140-160

I've got to replace the fuel hoses on my newly acquired 164E. Do I have to use FI hose, or is the D-Jetronics pressure low enough that I can use normal carburettor hose? The reason I'm asking is because the "leading" car parts shop in New Zealand (Repco) asks me $30 per meter for normal 8mm rubber FI hose! I was also at (not so) Super Cheap Auto, but it was out of stock.
