I put a deposit on a 92 240 auto wagon yesterday, it has 210K miles on it. The interior looks like it hasn't been sat in with the exception of a seam tear on the driver seat and the body has no marks or dings in it, no rust and all original paint. It's red with some minimal oxidation on the hood and roof and has been garaged it's whole life. All the same the mileage is high but I'm not going to get hung up on that for what I paid for the car. I intend to use it as a utility vehicle and a daily driver in a family of all sedans. Right now the temp gauge doesn't work, you have to lift the shift cover and slide the yellow plastic piece to the left in order to get it into gear. It needs front brake pads. These are the things I know of that were obvious.
I'm looking for advice from some experienced 240 owners that can tell me what I can expect and what I should check for and focus on making sure it gets done or replaced.
Thank you very much.
