1995 headlamp assy replacement with 1994 or earlier headlamp/foglamp assy? 900 1995

Hi,

I have a '95 940 wagon and I would like to find out if it is possible to replace (with little or no modifications) my existing headlamp assemblys with the headlamp/foglamp assemblys that were used in the '94 and earlier models. I do know that the front grille and bottom trim pieces needs to be changed, but I haven't been able to determine if the older headlamp/foglamp assy can be directly replaced or if some minor mods need to be done. The wireing harness is already there for the loglamp portion of the headlamp assy. I much prefer the earlier assebllies that had the foglamp/headlight combo and glass headlight lenses. Don't know why Volvo cheaped out in this area in the '95 model. Greatly looking forward to any responses.
