Turbo blowing oil 700 1990

I've discovered excessive amounts of oil in the hose from the turbo output to the intercooler on my '90 740T. Can anyone put me in the right direction as far as exactly what seal in the turbo itself is causing this to happen, or am I in for a complete new turbo? (praying that's not the case)
