Update on 'Spasms' in Power Steering Assist 900

For any of you who recall my questions about spasming steering in hard sustained turns (e.g. on a cloverleaf) or when pulling hard out of a parallel parking slot, I think I found the solution. The problem persisted even after two power steering flushes and the installation of a magnafine filter on the return hose. I turns out my left inner tie rod was bad. So I had both inner and outer tie rods replaced on both sides (I want to get equal wear). After the allignment the spasms were gone! I can hold a nice sustained curve w/o having to fight to keep the car under control.

The whole job cost less than $180.00 - as I ordered inner rods from VLVWorld ($16.00 ea) and already had new outer tie rods on hand. Midas aligned the car for free since I give them so much business.
