Has anyone installed an electric fan in front of the radiator on their PV w/ B18 engine?

It looks like there's at least 2 inches in there in the thinnest area in the middle, and even more as you go out from the center (from where the hood spring mechanism is). We were thinking about getting two 8" diameter by 2-1/4" thick PermaCool electric fans and mounting one on either side in front of the radiator to provide a little more cooling & air flow in stop and go traffic. They're $66 each from Summit...
