After having my kickdown cable replaced, I noticed that my car is not as responsive as it used to be.
The difference is primarily noticeable on the low-end, i.e., I'm approaching a red light while coasting to a stop, the light turns green, I round the corner and want to punch it, but my car seems like it's hesistating. Gas mileage, highway driving and passing gear are all fine. I replaced the spark plugs, cap, rotor, cleaned the air filter, replaced the fuel filter, etc., all recently, so I'm thinking that the cable could be the culprit.
This may sound dumb, but does this cable have to be broken in? Although I've never adjusted the cable before, I'm thinking about attempting it. I read the FAQ, but does anyone have their own tips on how to adjust the cable?
