Hello.
First, the information in this forum has been very helpful to me. Thanks to all of the contributors.
My question:
I have a 1994 960 Sedan and this past weekend, I replaced the upper, lower and reservoir tank radiator hoses. I also replaced the thermostat, the expansion tank and the various clamps on these hoses.
While I was under the vehicle, I noticed two additional coolant lines that run from the block drain on the passenger side to and from the area right above the oil filter.
I was unaware of these hoses until this weekend and I thought I was replacing all of the hoses by replacing the upper, lower and expansion tank hose. Now, one of these hoses is leaking where it connects right below the block drain. I replaced the clamp (loosing much of my new coolant) but the connection is still leaking. At this point, I just want to replace these hoses but I’ve been unable to find them on any of the usual websites (FCP and VLVWorld).
What are these hoses called?
Can I just use generic rubber tubing to replace the existing hoses? If so, what kind?
Also, does anyone know the sizes (inner diameter) of these hoses?
Thanks again for your help.
