Rear wheel bearings 200

I've read all the FAQs and past threads, but they all concentrate on removing the spacer and the actual ball race from the shaft. How would I extract the conical bearing cap from inside the end of the axle casing?

I was planning on simply putting in a spare shaft with a good bearing already on it, but before I dismantle I'd like to know what my options might be supposing I find the bearing surface inside the axle to be scored or damaged.

Thanks anyone.
