I recently purchased a 1994 944 Volvo with a normal aspirated 8-valve
B230F with the distributor up front just like the 240's. The car has only 45k.
Unfortunatly it has the Regina fuel injection system and had problems right off the bat with State emmission testing. Well, that was cured with a new $200 DEC brand cat converter and $217 oxygen sensor.
This worked for 2 months and now the 'check engine'light came on. The oxygen sensor was shot (no voltage reading), so I replaced it yesterday for another $217 and 'check engine' light light is on again!!! I hope ...I didn't blow another oxygen sensor!!
The OBD code is 2-3-2 , just like last time.
I also get very poor highway gas mileage, something like 18 MPG.
I'm to say the least, more the frustrated. Any help appreciated. Duck
