Maybe I just got lucky but this worked for me... I soaked the axle stub / keyway with wd40 and let sit for 24 hrs. then using a 2lb hammer, I started gave the backside of the drum some light hits (not home runs) while rotating it....then I stuck a punch into the keyway and gave that a few wacks and a few more on the backside of the drum and off she went!!
I don't know if I just got lucky but I think moving that axle dey even a smidge is enough to break loose any rust or tension developed in that area. This car had been sitting in a field for years. If you can get it off this way I think it might be easier on the parts than pullers and pounding.
BTW... anyone know where to get one of those inline brake cooler fans for use in the 4" intake hose for the heater....sounds slick!!
thanks...gerry
