windshield wiper 'spoiler' 900

since i have had my 940, i have been using windshield wipers from VW. i used to have a vw and went to the dealer to get thwe wipers for it, and when i got the volvo and saw the wipers were shot, i looked at wipers on the vw and saw they were interchangeable with the volvo, so i swaped them...they were about the same size. they were good wipers and i used them for a long time, but now, vw has these curved wipers for the newer cars (my vw was a 91), so i went to volvo to get the wipers (LI has dealers everywhere). the driver side wiper has a spioler on it ans i would like to know if it goes on the leading edge or trailing edge of the wiper...does it matter? im sure it does otherwise it would not be there...

sorry for such a long story for the simple question :)
