Afternoon All,
Discovered a fuel leak in my wife's 91 940 gle wagon. In the salty North East hills of Vermont
Was changing the exhaust donut between the end of the manafold and begining of the cat converter and had the front end up on ramps, started it up to check the newly joined pipes for leaks and noticed fuel drip, drip, dripping from back side of the tank. I had noticed the smell of gas many times in the past few weeks and had previously attributed that smell to a clogged vapor filter, this seems much more that.
Is the replacement and or repair straight forward in y'all's experience? Bone yard verses new for a new tank if needed. Hope its fuel pump hosery that has failed.
Is there easy access to the top of the tank without removing it? Thats were I think the gas is coming from. The leak was only detected when the tank was full and the front wheels up on my ramp and motor turned on.
