Injector miss #1 cyl. excessive gas consumption 700 1992

Excesive gas consumption, irratic engine idle and running.
I have a miss on #1 injector... not the plug.
Pull the connector on the injector, like pulling the plug wire, and there's no hit.
Yes, the spark plug is doing it's thing.
Need some troubleshooting tips.
