K-jet fuel pressure issue 200 1989

Greetings

First I have a B230E k-jet and second I know the best way to troubleshoot any fuel pressure problems is to measure the pressure. Problem is I can't find anyone in this neck of the world who's qualified let alone have the necessary pressure testing equipement.

My problem is that getting the engine to start will take quite a few cranks especially if the car is has been left for a few hours. Will start immediately after just stopping. I suspect a fuel pressure problem. It's getting bad gradually and I've circumvented around it by cranking once, reset the ignition then crank again. This method has served me well and I've been able to start the car flawlessly with the 2nd crank.

I've done some reading and I'm guessing it's the accumulator near the main fuel pump. FAQ mentioned a fuel check valve but my parts guy seems to think my model don't have any.

Anyone else have a similar issue with their K-jet? Which is the likely culprit here? Accumulator? Check Valve? (Does K-jet have a check valve in the first place?) Control pressure regulator?

Thanks everyone.
