So my 83 k-jet 245t is having some issues.
When its cold, and i try to start it, i have to lightly pedal the gas and keep the rpms up at just sub 2k just to keep it alive.
after about 20 secs or so itll kinda idle, if you consider wandering between about 100 and 1000 rpms an idle.
during this time, if i gas it too hard itll bog and die.
When it finally warms up, its idle isnt perfect, but it sure isnt bad for a 20+ year old car.
so my guess is its running really rich when cold due to a CPR thats stuck in 'hot' mode?
anyone got a way to troubleshoot this? i dont wanna have to buy a cis pressure test gauge as im thinking of MSing my brick this summer.
here's the things that I have checked:
1. Grounding CIS test lead kills the car.
2. The IAC is humming away.
3. TPS is open when idling, and closed when not.
4. Troubleshooted the Freq. Valve and it checked out according to my bentley manual, and it seems to be humming.
Anything you guys can suggest?
