How to: Clean fuel distributor 200 1985

Recently purchased an 85 240 turbo. I am almost positive that the problem with the no start lies in the fuel distributor. Is there a way of cleaning it. Like taking it apart and spraying it with brake parts cleaner. Thanks for any help.
