Advise on removing/replacing front pipe with used one vs. new one 700

Dang. I had my exhaust from the catalytic converter to the tailpipe replaced two months ago with new pieces from swedishimports. Coming back from Nebraska to Kansas yesterday it started sounding like a truck. I suspect there's a hole in the front pipe now, which wasn't replaced earlier (I could kick myself now), and I can sure hear the sound of escaping exhaust with a noticable loss of power. Turbo is also making a whining sound just as it starts to spool. Available money for car repairs is a big factor these days with me. There's a boneyard not too far from where I am now, and I saw a 760 turbo there with a new tailpipe, muffler, and catalytic converter up on a hoist. If the front pipe is good, is it reasonable to take it and replace the one in my car, or should I just bite the bullet and buy a new one $110 plus shipping vs. $35.00 (says junkyard)?

Also, is there a cross-reference new pipe that one could use to replace said pipe? Called VOLVO dealer locally and the price he quoted for the pipe and gaskets made me cringe....
