ac charging: what am I doing wrong: 200

Converting to r-134 a, used the volvo kit and also replaced the compressor. Pumped system out last night to 28mmhg; came out this morning and it still held vacuum so I started charging. Not even halfway thorough my first 12 oz can of R-134a and the low side is pushing 80. Not even sure if it is sucking in the gas from the can anymore as it's been 20 minutes or so and the can still has plenty left.

The compressor seems to be running, I can see bubbles in the sight glass on the drier. I have the AC and fan on max and raised my idle to 1500.
