Removing 'Tint' 120-130

the previous (only other) owner of my amazon had the windows tinted to reduce the glare of the harsh texas sun. Trouble is that it started to crack and fail and overall gives me a very glazed/hazy view out the rear. I tried using a razor blade and succeeded in removing portions of the tint, but it has been leaving a residue of sorts. Can anyone offer advice on how to "un-tint" the windows? A cleaner or solvent suggestion would be welcome
