Car wash kills boost...

..Twice now, after giving my 89 740 tic a good wash (no engine bay wash), it runs poorly afterwards. The cycle goes like this:
- at first, it's on 3 cylinders, clearing up after 10-15 mins.

- then, it runs alright, but when boost is applied, the needle goes up but the tach and engine seem to freeze, not wanting to climb above 3000 rpm.

yesterday, after a 45 min drive on the highway at about 65 mph, it was still having the boost problem. Runs fine in neutral, but put a load on it and it sucks.

Today I'm di-electricing all the connections (no O2!), and double checking for intake/turbo leaks....

I've seen this as a common problem, anyone have a quick suggestion for me?

Thanks! Josh
