brake/clutch pedal AND brake booster removal.... aaargh! 200 1992

I thank knowledeable Brickers in advance for any help you can provide! I am in the process of doing a "resto-mod" on a 92 245 that also includes converting from a manual tranny to an AW-71. I want to do the following when it comes to the pedals and the brake booster:
1: Replace the brake booster as the diaphragm is leaking.
2: Replace the clutch/brake pedal assembly with a "automatic" brake pedal assembly.

Here are my painful questions:
1: To get the booster and pedals out, does the steering column have to come out?
2: To get to half the bolts, do I have to remove the dash???
3: Should I spend my "therapy" dollars on a shrink or a vodoo doctor... or buy more beer?
4: Anybody have a "auto" Brake pedal assembly out there... along with an auto shifter assembly?

The bright side is that the only thing left in the engine compartment at this point is the steering column and the brake booster... everything else has been removed.

Any thoughts to help out a fellow Volvo addict... besides buying a T5R?

Thanks,
jorrell
