K-jet injectors questions 700 1989

Greetings

After much delay finally bought myself a set of new injector seals. I've gone through the archives and I think it'll be easy.

A couple of questions though. I know it would better if the injectors are cleaned and serviced, problem is I can't find anyone here who in my opinion is truly qualified. After inquiring some say they would sandblast it. Others who offer "injector service" say they would test the flow and run cleaners in the injectors but they won't show you the result nor let you see what they do.

So is there anything else I can DIY with regards to the injectors themselves when I replace the injector seals? A friend suggested I soak them in fuel injector cleaner. I can't find techron/BG4K here but STP fuel injector cleaner is readily available. Good enough?

Also looking at the parts book it looks as if the injector valves can be unscrewed from the injector hose. I can't find any mention of that in the brickboard. Is that possible? Sure would make things easier to just unscrew the valves and soak them rather than having to take out the whole injector with their hoses.

Appreciate any advise. Want to to this right the first time around.

Thanks
