Hello All
After I completed the Valve Stem Seals job, and ptting the front end of the engine together, I had noticed the Timing Belt will need to be replaced, in the not too distant future. I used a 22mm Socket and a Rubber Mallet. No luck. I used that trick to dislodge the Camshaft Sprocket Bolt, torqued at 37 lb-ft., while holding it under my arm and across my lap, to replace the Seal, just in case. I wrapped he same rope I stuffed into the cylinders, around the Crankshaft Pulleys, tied an end around the Air Conditioner, to lock-up he Crankshaft. The Rope broke. I did the job years ago on my automatic B21E, but damned if I remember how I did it. I also replaced the Starter on that car, damned if I know how I removed those Bolts through the Bell Housing. Two jobs I do not look forward to.
Any hot tips to remove the Timing Belt from an Automatic? Any hot tips how to remove the Starter's 19mm Bolts? Really hard to get to without a 10 foot Snap-on Extension and a Swivel-Socket, attacked from underneath, with the car on a lift.
Thank you, in advance.
