leak in 240, 83 200

Help ! It rained last night and I noticd that the front driver's footwell was very wet this morning. Just the bottom floor was wet and all areas above the floor seemed dry as a bone. The car has never leaked before and I can not see were it is coming from as the carpet under the pedals is as dry as a bone as is everything in and around the door. Any weak spots on 240s where I should look first ?
