My '89 740 4 spd w/ OD is getting almost impossible to shift into first when stopped. I'm going to open it up soon to see what's wrong. I have an opportunity to get the gear selector mechanism and shift rod from an older iron case tranny in the local pick-parts yard. Does anyone know if these parts are interchangable??
