Front springs on 960 900

Can anyone give me any information on the front spring options available for a Volvo 960, my model is 1995 which is possibly the 96 model in the USA. I am posting from Australia. The car has only done 114,000km but rides quite low in the front and scrapes wheel arch guards in some circumstances. The Volvo spare parts catalogue I have accessed here refers to types 1,2, and 3 but there is no explanation of what these refer to. Any help much appreciated.
